MS Office goes Cloud

April 19, 2011

Wow.
Impressive.

With the never ending production of newer devices, portable devices to be exact, and never ending ability to utilize wireless ‘direct-to-satellite’ (that was what was claimed by service provider, though smart ones know signals from your mobile devices get captured by receiving/transmitting adapters/devices that sends data in/out via cables still) transmission to allow one to surf the Net possibly anywhere, you can always expect what people dream to come true.

I knew MSN Hotmail was one good example of a long time cloud-based service.
Auctions sites are another. Think eBay, the former Yahoo! Auction. There’s more.

Now even MS Office are going cloud-based.
The result?

You can access your data anywhere.
You can edit your data anywhere, plus now MS Office even allows you to edit them simultaneously with other users.
You just need a device that supports web browsing. (Plus maybe an app?)

Plus you even (may) need not even worry about ever losing another data.
Be it computer system hard disk crashing/dying.
Or laptop/notebook getting stolen.

Another big project that utilize cloud-based system.

When To Write Again?

April 17, 2011

Been a long while since I my brains came out with sudden burst of words that could have been a mix of stories, songs, lyrics, I just don’t know what to name them.

Could be the busy schedule.
Or the exhausted me.
Or the bad weather.
Or the scary disasters.
Or a stressed up me.
Which equals to me being a bit more silent that usual.

But then, hey, I think I’m gonna start writing again.
Soon.
Real soon.

Need an IT-related hardware/accessories? Go VideoPro…

April 17, 2011

Local people.
I knew of this site a few years back.
Used it to browse and compare prices for IT-related equipments.

Surprisingly, I have used it at last, and a very satisfied customer.
VideoPro Singapore is the answer to all your needs, online.

One good thing is that they accept cash on delivery (upon arrival of purchased item(s) sent to your house, or to another address that you may have specify during check-out).
So that means it will be handy to keep the payment cash on hand before you hit the checkout button.

Surprisingly, there’s an express mode where they can deliver to your place within 4 hours after you placed a successful order.

Then, for my case I opted for the normal mode where the item would be delivered within 5 working days, but yet within 4 hours they contacted me and the items I bought were delivered to me.

Friendly staff, good and fast service.

Would be happy to make another purchase soon (and that’s after receiving my next month’s pay to purchase new UPS, hard disk, extension plugs with surge protector, and maybe a couple of other IT stuffs).

MultiVits and MultiMins Tablets?

April 1, 2011

Do they work?
Or are they just commercial ‘gimmicks’ of a manufacturer needing to sell of the products they have made?

Whatever the fact is, we all should be made aware of some actual facts.

1. How fast are nutrients from the food and water we consumed are processed, entirely? We can never entirely depend on these miracle tablets. Simply because our body might take just hours before it has completed its nutrients extraction process from the food and water we have consumed, thus should there be excess of nutrients, scarily the excess will be removed out of our body. That simply equals to ‘waste product’.

2. Balanced diet. Eat moderately. How many times have we heard of this, that some food should be taken lesser than the other healthier ones? Thus, what’s the use of taking multi-vitamins and multi-minerals tablets when our daily food diet is already high in fats, sugars, cholesterol, etc.?

3. Exercise. Yes, regular exercise. Our body works in a way it develops and utilize all the nutrition it received from our daily food and water intake, only when you utilize your body parts, functions and muscles.

4. Daily maintenance. OK, this is the truth, how well do you take care of yourself? This involves (and not limited to):
– Daily hydration
– Intake of ‘clean’ air
– Brushing your teeth
– Doing your nature’s bowel calls
– Bathing at least twice a day
– Changing your clothes after bath/shower

Verdict?
It is not a harm for you to try out these multi-vitamins and multi-mineral tablets, as I myself consumed Centrum’s One-Tablet-A-Day all in one daily, though I never put my diet and regular exercises aside.
And follow the recommended consumption info.
